We wait for the new year.... a new start. Perhaps this is a time of new commitments, like getting organized, being more attentive to loved ones and others, being dedicated to self: eating well, exercising, and quiet time. I can't think of a better way to start the new year than taking time for having tea and reading. As much as I love planning and hosting tea parties, this time of year helps me to realize how much I need to do this for myself.
Here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, it has been extremely cold, so much that the schools are closed due to a very low wind chill, negative 30 - 45 degrees F. With the cold keeping us in and close to home, it has been a perfect time to engage in the ritual of tea, and getting caught up on some reading.....just for fun.
"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
I hope that you are taking time for enjoying the ritual of tea, reading your latest issue of Tea Time Magazine, or just appreciating a safe, warm home to reside in.
